About

WordCamp Finland Online 2020 is a locally-organized online conference covering everything related to WordPress, the free and open-source personal publishing software that powers over 38% of the sites on the web.

WordCamps come in all different flavors, based on the local communities that produce them. In general, WordCamps include sessions on using WordPress more effectively, beginning plugin and theme development, advanced techniques, design, security, etc. To get an idea of the types of sessions typically seen at WordCamps, check out the previous events’ videos.

The first WordCamp was organized in San Francisco by Matt Mullenweg in 2006, and since then, local communities around the world have organized hundreds of others. The first WordCamp Finland was held in Tampere in May 2015, after which the community has organized one to two events in a year.
